I guess to start I should let you know we were broken into a few weeks ago and on one hand I was lucky I had my camera gear hidden away and on the other I unfortunately had my laptop stolen along with many images I took over the last couple of months, that I hadn't backed up. I can replace a laptop and a mobile phone but I'll never get back those shots. Up until yesterday I was feeling quite depressed.
Yesterday I did my the Kalamunda market. I have my 2 framed prints that I entered for the Kalamunda photographic competition on display along with my usual images. Two wonderful women lifted my spirits and left me feeling very touched. I am so grateful to them both. One of these women let me know how much she loved my print ' a life well lived', how it spoke to her on many levels and she totally got it. The second woman was in tears about not only that image but about my photography in general. She had me all emotional by the end of it. Then she came back and grabbed one of my business cards saying she wanted to follow my work from her home overseas. So if you are reading this at some stage thank you! You really made my day.
